Olivia's Chelsea College Of Art & Design, Graduate Collection 2014.
Olivia's concept for this collection was to challenge people’s perceptions of knitwear by creating something unexpected out of knitted textiles: A suit jacket, which is traditionally constructed from woven fabric. From the lapels to the pockets and inner binding, every single panel was knitted by Olivia on a 12gg Hand flat industrial Knitting machine. The front, pockets and sleeves of the jacket are lined with a beautiful silk fabric, and the jacket fastens with 2 matte metallic magnetic buttons. Each and every panel is a unique design and colour way, to create a show piece from which you can design your own jacket. Olivia worked with a tailor to design and construct the final piece.
